PREVIEW: MABANGA BOYS SET FOR MAZABUKA CLASH AGAINST FC MUZA

Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club, fondly known as the Mabanga Boys, head to Mazabuka for a Week 30 encounter against FC MUZA, as they look to return to winning ways.

The team traveled from Solwezi yesterday, shifting focus to the away fixture following their previous result against ZESCO United.

The reverse fixture between the two sides ended in a draw, setting the stage for what promises to be another closely contested match.

Heading into this clash, MUZA sit 8th on the log with 42 points, while Kansanshi Dynamos are positioned 13th with 32 points, making this a crucial fixture in the race for points.

Assistant Coach Dennis Makinka acknowledged the challenge ahead, describing MUZA as a youthful and composed side that plays with freedom.

“They are a team that enjoys playing and they are not under pressure, which makes them difficult to face. They are comfortable on the ball and not afraid to take risks,” he said.

Despite coming off a loss, Makinka remains encouraged by the team’s preparation, noting improvements after several days on the training ground.

“We’ve had about eight to nine days to prepare, and the players are looking ready. Our movement is improving, and we expect to be better in this match.”

Ball retention remains a key focus for the Mabanga Boys, with the technical bench emphasizing the importance of controlling possession.

“Our aim is to keep the ball well. We’ve improved in that aspect over the last few games, and we want to continue with that approach,” he added.

With both teams eager to make an impact, Makinka anticipates a competitive encounter in Mazabuka.

“It will be a tough game, but a good one for supporters to watch.”

The Mabanga Boys will be aiming to execute their game plan effectively and come away with a positive result on the road.
