Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club defender Mathews Mutambo says the team is fully focused and determined to turn their draws into victories as they prepare to face Mines United in week-nine match of the MTN Super League.
Despite a challenging start to the season, with three losses and five draws, Mutambo remains optimistic that the team’s first win is within reach.
“As a team, we are ready to face them. The preparations have gone well, everyone is focused, working hard, and looking sharp. We’re ready for the game,” he said.
Reflecting on the team’s recent performances, Mutambo admitted that while the team has been playing good football, finishing chances has been their biggest challenge.
“We’ve been creating opportunities but just missing a lot of chances. The coach has worked on that, and I believe this time around we’re going to score more goals,” he added confidently.
With the team eager to get back to winning ways, Mutambo also had a heartfelt message for the fans.
“To the fans, I just want to say, don’t give up on us. Keep supporting us, keep believing in us. Your support keeps us going,” he said.
Kansanshi Dynamos will be hoping to secure their first win of the season when they host Mines United this Saturday at Independence Stadium.
