After back-to-back draws, the Mabanga Boys will be eager to turn their consistent performances into victory against a Mines United side currently sitting at the bottom of the MTN Super League log. Kansanshi Dynamos, placed fourth from the bottom, will be hoping home advantage and renewed focus can make the difference this weekend.
Head Coach Zeddy Saileti acknowledges the importance of the fixture but remains cautious, emphasizing that his team must approach the game with the right mindset.
βYeah, I think it’s another difficult game. Our objective still remains the same, we want to win the game. Weβve done our preparation, weβve psyched the players. Mentally, we have to be strong because the pressure is on. The fans want a win, so our players have to give it their all. If we work as a team with good spirit and unity, I believe weβll achieve our goal,β said Saileti.
Despite Mines Unitedβs poor run of form, the coach insists there is no room for complacency.
βWeβve told the players not to underrate Mines United because they are also looking for a win. Itβs a competition. We should just play our own game and not rely on past performances. Playing well without getting results is not enough β this weekend we must play as a team and win,β he added.
On the teamβs approach, Coach Saileti highlighted the need to improve both in attack and defense.
βWe always want to attack, defend well, and score more goals. In the last two games, weβve scored once, which is not enough. This time, weβre looking forward to scoring more than two goals,β he said.
The coach confirmed that the squad is fully fit, apart from Titus Chivunga, who remains sidelined but is expected to return in the next two weeks.
In his message to the fans, Saileti called for continued support and belief.
βWe appreciate the fansβ support and concern. They just need to rally behind the team. Weβre also looking for a win, and we donβt want to disappoint them. Weβll try by all means to pick up maximum points,β he concluded.
