It was a mixed weekend of results for the Kansanshi Dynamos family, with moments of fight, frustration, and pride across all our teams, from the senior side to the academy.
Senior Team (KDFC)
The Mabanga Boys were held to a 1–1 draw by NAPSA Stars in their Week 10 fixture at Reiz Arena, Lusaka, after scoring first.
This result sees the Mabanga Boys still in search of their first win of the season.
After an evenly contested first half, Francisco Madinga opened his goal account for Kansanshi Dynamos early in the second half, finishing off a neat assist from Rodgers Lukonde in the 49th minute.
Despite creating several chances and enjoying good passages of play, the team couldn’t hold onto their lead as NAPSA’s Augustine Mulenga equalized in the 77th minute.
Coach Zeddy Saileti shared his thoughts after the game:
“We played well and created chances, but we should have defended better after scoring first. It’s positive that we’re now scoring, but we need to finish off games and stay focused for the full 90 minutes.”
Kansanshi Queens
The Queens had an exciting derby day against Police Doves in their Week 8 fixture of the ZPL Women National League – North.
After trailing 2–0, the Queens showed remarkable character to fight back and draw 2–2, a derby that truly lived up to expectations!
Young Kansanshi United
Young Kansanshi United were awarded three points and three goals for their Week 8 fixture after Kabanda Stingers failed to honor the match in the FAZ Division One Northwestern Province – Zone A League.
Kansanshi Academy
Our Academy side settled for a goalless draw (0–0) against Jedos Academy in their Week 4 fixture played at Youth Alive Grounds in the FAZ Division Three League.
