It was a weekend filled with action across all Kansanshi Dynamos structures, bringing moments of resilience, strong performances, and valuable lessons as the club continues its journey across the MTN Super League, Womenβs League, Developmental League, and Academy fixtures.
Senior Team | MTN Super League
The senior team endured a devastating outing away in Chililabombwe, falling 2-1 to Konkola Blades despite a bright start to the match. Kansanshi Dynamos looked confident early on, controlling phases of play and creating attacking opportunities.
A major highlight was the return of Kalonji Mwepu from injury, who marked his comeback with a well-taken goal in the 26th minute to hand the Solwezi side a deserved lead. The boys carried that advantage into the latter stages but faced increased pressure after the restart.
Momentum shifted in the second half as the hosts pushed forward. In the 72nd minute, an unfortunate own goal by Mathews Banda, following a scramble in the box, brought Konkola level. Just six minutes later, the hosts capitalised again, scoring in the 78th minute to complete the turnaround and claim all three points.
Despite the tough result, Solwezi Mayor Remmy Kalepa was present to cheer on the boys and offered words of encouragement after the match, urging the team not to dwell on the defeat but to stay focused and push for a stronger response in the next fixture.
Assistant Coach Dennis Makinka also reflected on the match, pointing to lapses in concentration during the closing stages and stressing the need for improvement moving forward.

Young Kansanshi United | FAZ Division One North-Western (Zone A)
There was plenty to celebrate for our developmental side, Young Kansanshi United, who secured a confident 2-0 victory over Kimale in their Week 24 encounter. Situmeko Metthias stole the spotlight with an impressive brace, opening the scoring in the 10th minute before sealing the win with another goal in the 69th minute. The performance highlighted the strength and growing confidence within the clubβs youth pathway.

Kansanshi Queens | ZPL Women National League
The Queens delivered one of the standout performances of the weekend, defeating a side that was sitting top of the table, Manyama Queens, to move into second position. The decisive moment came early when Naomi Mukula was brought down inside the box, earning a penalty that Mercy Bwembya confidently converted in the 7th minute. A disciplined and resilient team display ensured the Queens protected their lead and returned home with a valuable victory.

Kansanshi Academy
It was a challenging outing for Kansanshi Academy, who narrowly lost 2-1 to City Bullets. Despite the setback, the young talents showed determination and continue to gain valuable experience as part of the clubβs long-term development vision.
