MTN Super League | Week 12 (Rescheduled)
Levy Mwanawasa Stadium
Kansanshi Dynamos FC return to MTN Super League action with an away trip to Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, where they face Zesco United in a rescheduled Week 12 fixture.
Only three points separate the two sides on the log, with Zesco United sitting 12th on 15 points, while Kansanshi Dynamos occupy 15th place with 11 points, setting the stage for a closely contested encounter.
The match will be the third in charge for head coach Mohammed Fathi, who has overseen two consecutive draws since taking over the Mabanga Boys.
Looking ahead to the encounter, Coach Fathi remains optimistic about his side’s progress and prospects.
“I believe we can get a positive result from this game,” said Fathi.
“In our previous away match against Green Buffaloes, we were unlucky. We led the game but allowed them to come back. For the Zesco match, we have a different plan, and we are prepared to fight for a positive outcome.”
Despite the tight battle at the lower end of the table, the coach insists the focus remains on steady improvement rather than survival talk.
“We are not far from the safe positions, but I don’t want to focus too much on survival,” he added.
“There are many games still to play, and the difference is very small. Our target is to move as soon as possible into the comfortable zone — the middle of the table.”
Coach Fathi also praised the commitment of his technical bench and players, highlighting the team’s upward trajectory.
“The players and the technical team are working very hard with me. I believe we are on the right track, and personally, I am ready for this game.”
On his tactical approach, the gaffer reaffirmed Kansanshi Dynamos’ attacking identity.
“We will play our game. We want to play attacking football, just as we did against MUZA and Green Buffaloes,” he said.
“We looked good in those matches, and people were happy with our performance. But the most important thing is to win, that is our main business.”
Kick-off at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is set for 15hours tomorrow.
