Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club are in Lusaka to face NAPSA Stars FC in a rescheduled Week 10 fixture of the MTN Super League.

The fixture was brought forward following both teams’ original opponents, ZESCO United (who were set to face NAPSA Stars) and Power Dynamos (who were set to face Kansanshi), being engaged in CAF competitions.

The Mabanga Boys are still chasing their first victory of the season and will be eager to return from the capital with all three points. NAPSA Stars, meanwhile, have recorded only one win so far this season, making this a crucial clash for both sides aiming to climb the table.

Only three points separate the two teams, with Kansanshi Dynamos sitting third from bottom on four points, while NAPSA Stars are 13th with seven points.

Coach Zeddy Saileti Speaks Ahead of the Clash

Despite the slow start, Head Coach Zeddy Saileti says his side has worked hard during the international break and remains focused on collecting maximum points.

β€œPhysically we’ve done a lot of drills and built confidence in the players. We’ve focused on areas we were lacking, especially pressing high and playing more as a team. We want to win the game,” Saileti told KDFC Media.

The coach emphasized that mental strength has been a big part of the team’s preparations.

β€œOur main focus has been mental strength because we haven’t won yet. Of course, it’s on the players’ minds, but once we get that first win, confidence will come back. Our main target is simply to win.”

Looking ahead to Saturday’s opponents, Saileti acknowledges the challenge posed by NAPSA Stars but believes organization and discipline will be key.

β€œNAPSA is a big team, and we respect them. We just need to be more tactical and organized, especially defensively. If we want to win, we have to make sure we put the ball at the back of the net.”

The coach also confirmed a fully fit squad heading into the weekend.

β€œEveryone is ready. The team is 100% injury-free going into this match.”

Lastly, Saileti shared a message of gratitude to the supporters who have continued to back the team during this difficult run.

β€œThe fans have been consistent, and we appreciate them. We know we owe them a win. We’re looking forward to a good game and to giving them the three points they deserve.”
