Kansanshi Dynamos FC held their traditional pre-season workshop on Monday, 11 August 2024, at Floriana Lodge in Solwezi. The workshop, a key fixture before the start of every football season, is designed to prepare players, technical staff, and management both on and off the pitch for the challenges ahead.
The day opened with remarks from General Secretary Mweshi Mupeta, who communicated the executive’s challenge to the team: not only to ensure Kansanshi Dynamos remain in the MTN Super League, but to push for a Top eight (8) finish or better in the club’s return season after promotion.
Mr. Mupeta also gave an overview of the club’s history and structure, reminding the team of Kansanshi Dynamos’ journey from its 2009 formation following the merger of Kansanshi United and Solwezi Dynamos to its current Super League status.
Presentations during the day covered crucial topics such as medical readiness, financial literacy, wellness and physical health, substance abuse prevention, and player welfare. These sessions, facilitated in part by Kansanshi Mine representatives Ms. Naomi Mshanga and Ms. Kelebogile Matshakaile, aimed to equip players with the tools to excel both professionally and personally.

The club’s medical team also shared important insights on proper preparation, rest and recovery, as well as the importance of clear and timely communication regarding injuries.
Referee Leonard Kaoma educated the squad on the latest laws of the game ahead of the new season, ensuring players are fully aware of recent rule changes.

The Media Department stressed the importance of player interviews and positive media interaction, encouraging players to confidently represent both themselves and the club in the public eye.
The workshop concluded with final remarks from Head Coach Zeddy Saileti, who expressed his appreciation for the programme, noting that it served as a timely reminder of key aspects of the game before the season’s kickoff.
“This workshop is more than just preparation; it’s about building a strong, united team on the pitch, in the media, and in the community,” said a club representative.
Kansanshi Dynamos FC now turns full focus to the upcoming 2025/26 season, ready to compete, inspire, and represent the people of Solwezi with pride.
The team commences their 2025/26 journey with a match against Kabwe Warriors FC at Independence stadium this coming Saturday.
