Those were the words of interim head coach Yoram Kasempa, rallying the Kansanshi Dynamos faithful ahead of Sunday’s crucial Week 11 clash against Nchanga Rangers at Independence Stadium in Solwezi.
With the team enduring a tough spell of nine games without a win, Kasempa’s message to the fans is one of belief and unity, a call to stand behind the Mabanga Boys as they seek to bounce back.
The two sides last met in the 2022/23 season, when Kansanshi Dynamos edged Rangers 2–1 at home. Coming into this encounter, 11 points separate them on the table, with Nchanga Rangers sitting comfortably in 5th place, while Kansanshi Dynamos are 14th, hovering just above the relegation zone.
After the club’s recent technical changes that saw the departure of head coach Zeddy Saileti, assistant coach Kasempa steps in to lead the team and will be looking to make an immediate impact.
“It’s not my first game, but in a way, it feels like one because I’m in charge of new dynamics,” Kasempa said. “The team is ready, we’ve prepared well and we’re expecting positive results tomorrow.”
Despite only joining full preparations midweek, the coach says he’s impressed with the team’s attitude.
“The few days I’ve been with the team, everyone is putting in more effort and showing hunger. You can see that each player wants one thing, a win. So I would say all the players are ready.”
Unfazed by the pressure, the experienced coach believes this could be the turning point.
“Every game has pressure, but I don’t feel any. I’ve coached in the Premier League before, this is not new to me. I’m ready for the challenge.”
Returning to Independence Stadium, the Mabanga Boys will look to draw strength from their supporters and turn that energy into the win they’ve been fighting for.
