Kansanshi Dynamos will be looking to make another step forward on the log as they head into Thursday’s rescheduled Week 8 fixture of the MTN Super League against Power Dynamos FC, carrying renewed confidence and determination following last weekend’s morale-boosting win over Nchanga Rangers.

Heading into this match, nine points separate the two sides, with Power sitting third on 18 points, while Kansanshi are 14th with nine points.

Kansanshi will look to turn around their recent record at Arthur Davies Stadium, where they suffered a 3–1 defeat in their last meeting. With their current league position in mind, the Mabanga Boys will be eager to put up a strong fight and push for a positive result in Kitwe.

Interim Head Coach Yoram Kasempa says the mood in camp is upbeat as his team prepares to face the reigning Super League champions.

“The morale is high. Everyone is ready for the game and putting in more effort. We’re looking forward to facing Power Dynamos,” said Kasempa.

While acknowledging Power’s home strength, Kasempa remains optimistic.

“It’s a 50-50 situation. We know they are a good team, especially at home, but we also have our plan for them. We’re ready,” he added.

The coach praised his players for quickly adapting to his tactical ideas since taking charge.

“Coaching is almost the same everywhere, we’ve just refined one or two things. The players are fitting in well and doing what’s required of them,” he noted.

On the team’s fitness, Kasempa confirmed that the squad is in good shape with only one player ruled out due to a long-term injury.

Kansanshi Dynamos will aim to build on their momentum and continue climbing the table as they take on Power Dynamos in Kitwe.
