Kansanshi Dynamos midfielder Kizito Kezeron says the team must sharpen up in front of goal if they are to break their winless start to the season when they face Red Arrows this Sunday at Independence Stadium.
The Mabanga Boys are set to host Arrows in a week-seven MTN Super League clash, still searching for their first victory of the campaign. After six matches without a win, their most recent outing ended in a 0-0 draw away to Mufulira Wanderers. Despite showing promise in performances, results have remained elusive, with missed chances proving costly.
Dynamos currently sit third from bottom with three points, and are determined to turn the tide. Kezeron believes the squad is prepared for the challenge but insists that improvement in front of goal will be crucial.
“If you watch our matches, we perform well but the results are not coming. The problem is just scoring. We create a lot of chances but need to convert them,” he said.
On a personal note, the Ugandan midfielder feels ready to step up.
“I’m in good shape and I will do my best to help the team, but as a group we know it’s about turning performances into wins,” he added.
With Red Arrows visiting Solwezi, Kezeron acknowledged the strength of the opposition but stressed that Kansanshi Dynamos, under coach Zeddy Saileti, have been preparing diligently.
As the team prepares for their first home fixture of October, Kezeron urged fans to keep the faith, promising that the fight will continue as the Mabanga Boys look to finally convert performances into results and begin climbing the table.
