Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club has taken a proactive step towards strengthening its structures and operations after hosting a two-day Professional Development Training Program over the weekend for its leadership and technical team.
The workshop focused on enhancing professionalism within the club, with key discussions centered on governance, financial management, commercialization, and long-term sustainability.
The training was facilitated by seasoned football administrator and consultant Mr. Lombe Mbalashi, who has previously served in high-level legal roles and on the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) committee, alongside financial expert Mr. Brian Musonda, who brings over 20 years of experience in financial management.
Mr. Mbalashi led discussions on governance, club structuring, and the need for football clubs to adapt to modern standards, while Mr. Musonda guided sessions on financial management and sustainability within the club.
Day One of the program engaged the Executive Committee and management, while Day Two extended to the technical team, ensuring alignment across different areas of the club.

The workshop also included key stakeholders such as supporters’ leadership, reinforcing the importance of collective involvement in the club’s development.
Reflecting on the sessions, Mr. Mbalashi noted that the discussions focused on strengthening and refining the club’s existing structures.
“The focus was on building on what is already in place and looking at how the club can continue to grow in a more structured and sustainable way,” he said.
“The game has evolved, and it is important for clubs to keep developing their systems, planning, and overall approach in order to remain competitive.”

Club General Secretary Mweshi Mupeta highlighted the importance of adapting to the evolving football landscape and strengthening the club’s operations.
“We are moving from just being a social organization to becoming more structured in how we operate,” he said.
“This training has helped us explore ways of sustaining ourselves over time.”
He further emphasized the importance of involving key stakeholders, including supporters, as part of the club’s long-term development.
The initiative reflects Kansanshi Dynamos’ continued efforts to improve its internal structures and align with the demands of modern football
