Kansanshi Dynamos FC stepped up preparations for the 2026 Transitional League on Monday as the team played its first preseason friendly matches against Jumulo FC in Luanshya.
The Mabanga Boys, who travelled to Kitwe on Saturday for preseason camp and began preparations on Sunday, made the short trip to Luanshya for a double-header against Jumulo FC as part of their ongoing preparations.
Kansanshi Dynamos emerged 2β0 winners in the first encounter, with Joseph Ssemujju opening the scoring from the penalty spot before Bebe Musangala added the second with a fine goal.
The team started the first match with Mapalo Chitundu, Rodgers Lukonde, Mathews Mutambo, Faustine Bakodila, Rodgers Chitambala, Mubiana Muleta, Julius Mwanza, Kizito Keziron, Bebe Musangala, Brighton Kabumba and Joseph Ssemujju.
Mapalo Chitundu played the full match in goal, while defender Mathews Mutambo later made way for midfielder Patrick.
A different starting XI was named for the second encounter, which ended in a goalless draw.
Raphael Zulu, Mathews Mutambo, Remmy Chanda, Titus Chivunga, Thomas Tembo, Kelvin Kapumbu, Clinton Lubula, Mathews Tolopa, Francisco Madinga, a trialist and Dalitso Lungu started the match.
Zulu started between the posts before Gregory Sanjase took over in goal for the second half, while Musonda Kapemba and Gary Mulwa were also introduced during the game.
Meanwhile, Gwazani was rested as a precaution while recovering from a minor knock.
The two matches gave the technical bench an opportunity to assess the squad and give players valuable match minutes as preparations for the 2026 Transitional League continue.
Kansanshi Dynamos remain in Kitwe for preseason, with two more friendly matches lined up for Thursday and Saturday as the Mabanga Boys continue their preparations.
