All Set in Kabwe as Dynamos Begin Second-Round Campaign

The second round of the MTN Super League gets underway this weekend, with Kansanshi Dynamos in Kabwe for an away fixture against Kabwe Warriors.

The two sides played out a barren draw in the first round at Independence Stadium, setting the stage for another closely contested encounter.

Nine points separate the teams on the league table, with Kabwe Warriors sitting fifth on 26 points, while Kansanshi Dynamos remain 15th with 17 points as they continue their push to move away from the relegation zone.

Speaking ahead of the match, Kansanshi Dynamos head coach said the team is fully aware of the challenge that awaits them in Kabwe.

β€œWe expect a very tough game. Kabwe Warriors are coming from a win while we lost our last match, so it won’t be easy. We know how they play, especially at home with their fans behind them, but we are ready and we’ve prepared well,” he said.

The coach added that the team has worked hard to address lapses from their previous outing against Nkana FC, particularly in the closing stages.

β€œAfter the loss, we focused a lot on mental strength and fighting until the very end. In the second round, every point is important, one point is good, three points is excellent.”

On team news, the coach confirmed that the squad is largely intact, with only Titus unavailable due to illness, while one other player is absent for personal reasons.

β€œThe rest of the players are present, fit, and ready for the game,” he concluded.

Kick-off details will be communicated ahead of matchday.
