Fresh from Phase Two of the CAF Pro Licence in Egypt, Head Coach Mohamed Fathi says the elite coaching programme is already shaping his tactical approach and strengthening the technical direction at Kansanshi Dynamos FC.
The CAF Pro Licence, the highest coaching qualification on the continent, has brought together 25 elite coaches and respected figures in African football, including renowned Egyptian coaches such as Hassan Shehata, Alaa Nabil, Rabie Yassin, Osama Nabieh and Osama Orabi. For Coach Fathi, the experience has provided an opportunity to learn at the highest level while exchanging ideas with some of the gameβs most experienced minds.
π£οΈ βThe course was very good. We go deeper into the small details of the game, tactics, training methods and how to teach players more effectively. This will help us improve our tactical structure and how we deliver information to the players here at Kansanshi.β

Holding a CAF A Licence and a Bachelorβs Degree in Sports Science (Football Department), Coach Fathi is currently on track to graduate from the CAF Pro Licence on 14 October 2026 upon completion of all phases. Once completed, he will become one of the few coaches in Zambia to hold this elite qualification, alongside Wedson Nyirenda.
Beyond education, Coach Fathi has already built a strong reputation within Zambian football, notably guiding NAPSA Stars to a historic CAF Confederation Cup group stage appearance while earning recognition for his tactical discipline and player development philosophy.
He believes the knowledge gained from the CAF Pro programme will directly benefit Kansanshi Dynamos FC, from improving tactical organisation to enhancing communication methods within the squad as the team continues to grow.
π£οΈ βWhen you love football, you donβt sleep. You always think about how to help players understand. If they donβt understand, you find another way to pass the information. This course helps us reach that level.β
With Phase Two complete, attention now returns to the league as preparations continue for the next stage of the CAF Pro Licence journey later this season.
