Kansanshi Dynamos Look to Build Momentum Against Zesco United
Week 29 of the MTN Super League arrives with little separating Kansanshi Dynamos and Zesco United, just goal difference, and everything still to play for.
With both sides sitting on 32 points, Kansanshi (12th) host Zesco (11th) in a clash that carries weight beyond the fixture itself. Itβs a contest shaped by momentum, urgency, and the race to finish the season on a strong note.
Kansanshi Dynamos come into this match riding a wave of confidence after securing back-to-back victories. Returning to Solwezi, the Mabanga Boys will be aiming to build on that momentum and turn it into three consecutive wins for the first time this season.
However, they face a Zesco United side that remains a formidable opponent and equally determined to climb the table as the season edges closer to its conclusion.
Kansanshiβs recent away win against Nchanga Rangers highlighted a team growing in confidence, showing composure and control in key moments. Zesco, meanwhile, head into the encounter following a draw against MUZA, making this fixture crucial for both sides in their push to secure their league standing.
The first meeting between the two teams this season ended in a 2-0 defeat for Kansanshi in Ndola. But with home support behind them and renewed belief within the squad, tomorrow presents an opportunity for a response.
With only a few games remaining, every point matters, not just in securing safety, but in building momentum ahead of the next campaign. For Kansanshi Dynamos, this is a chance to reinforce progress, maintain consistency, and continue their upward push.
ποΈ Assistant Coach Dennis Makinka β Pre-Match Interview
βAnother tough match, but obviously the momentum that we have, we have to continue with it. Winning two gamesβ¦ thatβs the highest weβve managed this season, and now we want to keep that going and push for maximum points.
Our approach is to control the game. We are playing at home, so we need to manage the game well, especially in the critical areas. In the attacking third, we have to use the ball well, like we did against Nchanga where we showed confidence and good control.
With a few games left, the focus is on cementing our place in the league, but also building momentum for next season. How we finish now will shape how we start the next campaign.β
