Kansanshi Dynamos FC | Week 22 MTN SUPER LEAGUE.

The senior team endured a challenging outing in Choma, falling to a 2–1 defeat against Green Eagles in a rain-affected fixture played over two days at Independence Stadium.

The match initially kicked off on Saturday but was halted in the 15th minute following a heavy downpour, with the match commissioner intervening as conditions became unplayable. Play resumed the following morning with Eagles holding a 1–0 advantage after an early penalty.

Upon resumption, Kansanshi Dynamos showed improved composure and grew into the game. The hosts created early pressure, but the visitors remained organised before finding their breakthrough in the 57th minute, when Mathews Banda levelled matters with a well-taken free kick.

Kansanshi looked confident after the equaliser and pushed for control of the match, but Green Eagles restored their lead in the 72nd minute through Derrick Bulaya.

The Mabanga Boys continued to press in search of another equaliser and thought they had rescued a point late on when Kalonji Mwepu found the net, only for the goal to be ruled out.

The result sees Kansanshi Dynamos drop to 14th position on the league table, slipping one place from 13th. With the season entering a crucial phase, the team will need to respond strongly in upcoming fixtures to maintain distance from the relegation zone and continue proving their progress.
