“Obviously, you know, first games are always important. It’s a great feeling, you know, just being a part of this wonderful family, Kansanshi. I’m just looking forward to having a good performance, especially this being our first game in charge.”
On the technical bench’s focus during the short preparation period:
“We’ve been working so much on defensive organisation and also finishing. As you know, most times the team has been scoring but also conceding. So we’ve been working on how to stop the bleeding, how to stop the goals and just also to improve on the scoring. Because the team has been scoring but obviously minimum goals—maybe one goal per game. We are trying to improve on the scoring so that if we can score more than one, we see where it will take us.”
On immediate improvements they hope to see:
“Obviously, the first is just to be quick on the ball and also just scoring.”
On expected performance and match approach:
“We’re expecting a good performance and our approach is something that I cannot say on an interview like this, but we’ll see tomorrow.”
