Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club on Monday 24 Novermber, 2025, unveiled its new head coach, assistant coach, and the 2025/26 season kit during a colourful ceremony held at Independence Stadium in Solwezi.
The club officially introduced Egyptian tactician Mohamed Fathi as the new Head Coach, taking over from former coach Zeddy Saileti. Fathi, a respected figure in Zambian football, who has signed upto the end of the s2025/26 season, expressed confidence that the team can rise again with proper organisation, discipline and renewed ambition.
“It’s a good organization, a big organization, but it’s not in the right position,” Fathi said. “We are trying to put this team where it deserves to be, on top of the league. We have a plan with the president and the executive, and our target is to get the team into the top eight, and hopefully push for the top four.”
Joining him is First Assistant Coach Dennis Makinka, signing for two years who recently led Zambia’s Under-17 National Team at the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Makinka said he did not hesitate to join Kansanshi Dynamos, describing the club as a project with strong ambition and passionate supporters.
“Kansanshi is a big club with big ambitions. I’m here to give my best and be part of the group that turns things around,” he said. “The fans here are amazing, and we want to give them positive results.”
The full technical bench includes Second Assistant Coach Yoram Kasempa, Physical Trainer Buchi Mfune, and Goalkeeper Coach Humphrey Kapoma.
The event was graced by Solwezi Mayor Remmy Kalepa, Kamalamba War Councillor Loves Soneka, FAZ Vice Chairman Dickson Mambwe and General Secretary Aston Chibanda.
Speaking during the unveiling, Club President Douglas Nyirenda made it clear that the mandate for the new technical team is straightforward.
“Everyone on this technical bench understands one thing: relegation is not a topic for Kansanshi Dynamos FC. We are here to compete, to improve, and to rise,” he said.
“The executive and sponsors have done their part. Now it is your turn,” he told the players. “Excuses are not part of the results we want to see. When you win on the pitch, you bring glory to the community.”
New Kit Unveiled
The club also unveiled its new kit for the ongoing season, marking a major transition from Joma to Scimitar Africa as the new manufacturer.
The kit represents renewed identity, unity, and ambition as the club continues rebuilding during the 2025/26 campaign.
Integrated Engineering Services (IES), who came on board in August with a USD 20,000 partnership package, were recognized for their vital contribution as co–kit sponsors.
“IES has played a crucial role in giving our players a refreshed and modern look for this campaign,” President Nyirenda said.
RockTech, another key partner, continues to sponsor the Man of the Match award, while Kansanshi Mining PLC remains the club’s main sponsor.
Community and Supporters Recognized
The club extended gratitude to Solwezi Mayor’s Office, FAZ North-Western Province leadership, supporters, Kansanshi Mine, IES, RockTech, and the media for their ongoing support.
Despite a challenging start to the season, the leadership expressed confidence that the revamped technical bench and renewed partnerships will help steer the club back to winning ways.
“We are starting a new journey, one of good results and higher heights,” the Mayor said.
Kansanshi Dynamos now shifts its focus to upcoming fixtures, hoping the unveiling marks the beginning of a revival for the “Maranga Boys.

Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mohamed Fathi, an Egyptian national and a highly respected figure in Zambian football, as the Club’s new Head Coach.
